For parents & guardians
Your child has joined, or wants to join, the Lost Tribe community's private Minecraft server. Here is what that means, in plain terms.
What this server is
A private Minecraft world run by the Lost Tribe community. Access is tied to membership in the community's Discord server: a player links their Minecraft account to their Discord account once, and only members of that Discord can play. There is no anonymous public access, and a player removed from the Discord loses access to the game server automatically. It is a shared survival world where players build, explore, and play together. Player-versus-player combat is turned off.
How moderation works
- A volunteer staff team enforces written rules against hate, harassment, bullying, inappropriate content, and unsafe behavior. Antisemitism and hate of any kind result in immediate removal.
- Chat and gameplay are logged. In-game chat is also mirrored to a moderated channel in the community Discord, so it is not a hidden space. Private messages between players can be reviewed by staff when a report is made.
- Builds are protected by a land-claim system, and any damage elsewhere can be traced to the player responsible and undone.
- Accounts are verified. The server only accepts genuine, paid Minecraft accounts, which limits ban evasion and impersonation.
The rules your child agreed to
The full rules are short. In summary: be kind, no hate of any kind, keep chat family-friendly, do not share personal information (including their own), do not damage others' builds, no cheating.
Reporting and getting help
If your child experiences anything uncomfortable, in the game or in private messages related to it, they or you can report it through the Discord #report-a-player channel or by messaging any staff member. Reports about the safety of minors are escalated to Lost Tribe organizational leadership. Good-faith reporters never get in trouble.
Staff can be recognized by a [Helper], [Mod], [Admin], or [Owner] tag next to their name. Staff will never ask a player for a password, personal details, or to move to another platform.
What we ask of you
- Know that your child plays here, and roughly when.
- Remind them never to share personal details online (school, address, photos, passwords) with anyone, staff included.
- Players must be 13 or older. Access runs through Discord, Discord's own terms require users to be 13 or older, and we do not make exceptions. A younger child cannot play here yet, and staff will not link a parent's account on a child's behalf.
- Come talk to us. Staff are happy to answer questions through the Lost Tribe organization's usual contacts.
Honest limits
We moderate actively and log thoroughly, but no online space can be perfectly supervised at every moment. We do not make guarantees. We make commitments: clear rules, verified membership, active staff, and taking every report seriously. Your awareness and involvement is the other half of keeping this a great space.
